Power BI Developer

The Power BI Developer will design, build, and maintain scalable Power BI solutions that enable self‑service analytics and KPI reporting. The role focuses on end‑to‑end BI development: integrating data from multiple sources, performing data shaping and modeling, implementing semantic models, and delivering performant dashboards and reports. The developer will also troubleshoot performance issues, collaborate with data engineering and business stakeholders to refine requirements, and ensure delivered solutions reliably track business KPIs and support measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Work as part of the Data and Analytics team to leverage analytics for insights and optimization of business processes.
Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights aligned with business KPIs.
Develop and optimize DAX measures, define and maintain star-schema data models.
Implement data modeling best practices in Power BI, including DAX calculations, measures, and relationships for accurate reporting.
Translate business needs into Power BI solutions, ensuring intuitive user experience and scalability.
Ensure data governance and security within Power BI workspaces, including role-level security and compliance with organizational standards.
Apply data quality and validation checks, configure Row Level Security (RLS), and ensure adherence to governance and development standards (naming conventions, documentation, version control, and deployment practices).
Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on Power BI usage and self-service analytics.
Main Skills:
Proven expertise in Power BI development (+4 years), including:
Advanced DAX and Power Query (M language)
Building interactive dashboards and reports with drill-through, bookmarks, and dynamic visuals
Connecting to multiple data sources (SQL, Azure Data Lake, SAP BW, APIs)
Good expertise on understanding and using filter context and determining how data is filtered and summarized in PBI visuals
Performance optimization for large datasets
Strong experience in data analysis and insight generation, preferably in Finance or Supply Chain
Ability to collect, organize, and model data from diverse sources to solve business questions
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with key stakeholders across functions
Competence in presenting findings to both business and technical stakeholders using Power BI storytelling techniques
Adequate knowledge of Power BI Service for publishing, sharing, and managing workspaces
Experience at working with Power BI, SQL
Nice-to-have:
"big data" storage (i.e. Azure Data Lake), SAP/SAP BW
Experience in embedding Copilot into Power BI
Language Skills:
Fluent in English
